Google is to big to have a little slip up I’m pretty sure in there yearly expenses is the slip up budget. Lmaoo and I think it’s gotta be billions of dollars they are a mega company Google won’t be going away anytime soon.
I disagree that the auctions are unfair. They demonstrate value for money. The DOJ/SEC could ask Google to stop supplying Apple and/or Android phones so that they would be forced to seek another supplier. They could also ask that Google return to showing URL's instead of stealing and showing web content on the SERP. and calling it "smippets". Same for Chat/GPT. It is IP theft. I would also ask them to divest Youtube as they show Youtube results more often that justified. I taught Digital Marketing and these are the main areas that I consider unfair.
Many more lawsuits are coming don’t worry. You may see an activist shareholder(s) soon. One thing will lead to another and they will break themselves up which is the best thing for shareholders. It will long run help consumers with the reinvigoration of the start up market place and more competition. More competition, not less, is the secret sauce of capitalism and is what leads to lower prices and better products for consumers.
I have been Google since early 2000s ...its'all virtue signalling and bah humbug...even if you think Google is the Monsanto of tech (soooo dramatic) you can't fault their consistent execution (except for some hiccups) or their strategic mapping.
I’m sure glad I lived during a period when you could actually use google as a “real search engine”. I’m not certain why it’s even called that any longer. No matter what subject, all you are going to find is paid advertising and manipulated subject matter. You really have to use other ways to explore and conduct deep research. I’ve been going back to the good old library and bookstores. 📚
Great article. I don’t worry much about the lawsuit’s since the value comes from the customer perspective. Lawsuits are temporarily. Customer value remains.
